International Wagner Leadership Institute Courses
Some WLI Canadian students may want to take courses offered in the United States. The student is responsible for paying the Canadian tuition fee to the Canadian WLI office. They will be charged the WLI US audit fee of $150 US for each course they attend. That amount can be deducted from the Canadian tuition fee up to $100 (CAN), A receipt needs to be handed in.
For example: A US student pays $300 US to take the course, a Canadian will pay $100 US to WLI USA and then $200 Canadian to the WLI Canadian office when they have their SEP's completed. If the student decides not to read 2 books for extra credit, only $50 will be allowed to be deducted from the Canadian tuition, $150 will be the remaining amount that needs to be sent into the Canadian WLI office with the SEP of the course.

Audited Courses

WLI students may audit a course. Special audit fees are applicable. Audit students will not receive credit for the course. Auditing students are not expected to complete course assignments. An auditing student may change their status to registered student within 90 days following a course. However, for the change to be official, the Application and Memorandum of Recommendation must be completed and in the WLI office (for new students), and all fees and tuition must be paid within those 90 days. Once accepted, the student will have the full 90 days after the completion of the course to complete all book and reports.

Home Based Learning
- All WLI resources are available to anyone, you don't have to be a WLI student.

WLI allows up to 50% of course work to be completed by home study utilizing (video, audio), Internet, or other media on courses offered by WLI. No provision is made for non-WLI instruction. In other words, a student may not randomly select any tape series, do 500 pages of reading and papers and receive credit. All requests to receive credit for distance learning from a non-WLI instructor via a media source should be made to the WLI office for determination. All tuition and fee apply to distance learning courses.

See the student center on the website for a list of audio, CD, video and Online courses that are available. www.wagnerleadership.ca/StudentCenter

Most audio tape courses cost $60, and $10 for the manual (some courses don't have manuals). Online line courses are available for any courses that have been video taped. CD's are available for many courses. The cost of online courses is $50 and is available in low or high bandwidth. We have Video tapes available for many of the WLI courses taught at the National WLI office. For each course there are usually 6 videos made and only cost $120 plus postage.

We do allow Videos to be shown to anyone that wants to view them. If a Pastor wants to show them to a small group, leadership training setting or a regular service, we only ask that the WLI explanation at the start of the tapes be shown as well as the teaching.

Course Schedule

WLI will E-mail a schedule of WLI events around the country to students, including Fast Tracks, Approved Conferences, Training events by Canadian Faculty and Local Church Seminars. Coming Fast Track courses are updated regularly on our website www.wagnerleadership.ca

Because of the fluid nature of WLI, events may change their schedule or courses. WLI reserves the right to substitute courses and faculty, cancel or change dates as needed. It is the student’s responsibility to contact WLI or a local host for the most current information.

Conferences, Mission Trips, Reading and Self Directed Studies

Another great feature of WLI is that students can attend approved conferences all across Canada. Many of the WLI Faculty host or minister at conferences throughout the year. Other conferences are applying to have their event registered with WLI for credits. Please check with each conference that you plan on attending and see if they are affiliated. If they are not registered with us, encourage them to contact our office.

Mission trips are also valid learning experiences. We are offering 1 training unit for each day of the trip that involved ministry, up to 10 TUs per trip. A SEP (Self Evaluation paper) must be turned in along with an itinerary. A maximum amount of training units can be earned in one year.

Diplomas

A diploma certifying graduation from each level is awarded on the basis of accumulating the required number of Training Units, for meeting the minimum age requirement, sufficient practical ministry experience and tuition fees paid in full. We reserve the right to contact the 2 recommendations that accompanied the application, to insure the WLI students Christian Leadership reputation is still in tack. We ask that one of the recommendations be from the local pastor where the student attends. The cost for issuing and sending a diploma is $50. For the Associate Level diplomas issued to Graduates from approved Bible Colleges with appropriate Ministry experience, there is a charge of $100. We would like each graduating student to give us a written SEP integrating the cumulative learning experiences contributing to the diploma in question to the student’s present and future ministry. In the higher levels of Masters and Doctorate, we would like the potential grads to allow us to do another evaluation of their ministry and to talk to 2-3 individuals to give further recommendation to their ministry.
